Advanced Treatment for Redness, Broken Capillaries & Visible Veins
At Borealis MedSpa, our Clarity II Vascular Laser offers an advanced, non-invasive solution for reducing visible blood vessels, facial redness, and other vascular skin concerns. Using innovative dual-wavelength technology, Clarity II precisely targets unwanted vessels while minimizing the impact on surrounding skin, helping patients achieve a clearer, more even-looking complexion.
What Does Clarity II Treat?
Clarity II can help improve the appearance of:
- Facial redness and rosacea-related redness
- Broken capillaries and spider veins
- Visible facial and selected leg veins
- Cherry angiomas (small red vascular spots)
- Certain vascular birthmarks and lesions
- Persistent redness associated with inflammation
How Does It Work?
Clarity II uses two advanced laser wavelengths, Alexandrite (755 nm) and Nd (1064 nm), to target blood vessels at different depths within the skin.
The laser delivers controlled light energy that is absorbed by hemoglobin within the targeted vessels. This energy gently heats the vessels, causing them to close. Over time, the body naturally breaks down and absorbs the treated vessels, reducing their visibility.
Integrated cooling technology helps protect the surrounding skin and enhances patient comfort throughout the procedure.
Benefits of Clarity II
- Precise & Targeted: Treats unwanted vessels while minimizing the impact on surrounding skin.
- Versatile Treatment: Addresses a variety of superficial and deeper vascular concerns on the face and body.
- Minimal Downtime: Most patients can resume their normal daily activities shortly after treatment.
- Long-Lasting Improvement: Treated vessels gradually fade, providing lasting cosmetic improvement, although new vessels may develop over time.
- Personalized Approach: Treatments are customized based on skin type, vascular concerns, and individual goals.
What to Expect During Treatment
Clarity II treatments typically take 15–30 minutes, depending on the size and location of the treatment area.
During the procedure, patients may experience a mild warming or snapping sensation as the laser targets visible vessels. Built-in cooling technology helps improve comfort.
Some vascular concerns may improve after 1–3 treatments, while more extensive redness or rosacea-related concerns may require additional sessions for optimal improvement.
Downtime is generally minimal. Temporary redness, mild swelling, bruising, or sensitivity may occur following treatment and typically resolve as the skin heals.
Safety & Considerations
Clarity II is a non-invasive laser treatment that can be customized for a variety of skin types and vascular concerns. Although generally well tolerated, potential risks include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, pigmentation changes, and, rarely, blistering or scarring.
Certain skin conditions, recent sun exposure, medications, or medical history may affect treatment eligibility.
A consultation with one of our qualified providers at Borealis MedSpa is recommended to evaluate your skin, review potential risks, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
